In 2003, a private firm was funded with a grant from the Stark County Board and the four municipalities of Bradford, LaFayette, Toulon and Wyoming. The firm was named the Stark County Economic Development Associates. The original employees of the firm were Robert Mueller, Dennis Rewerts and James D. Nowlan, with Mueller being the only salaried employee.
Stark County has one full time economic development coordinator, Denny Rewerts as our resident Americorps VISTA appointee. Denny can be reached at 309-238-6116. Denny is currently located behind the State Bank of Toulon.

With the support of the county, all our towns and villages, the schools, and the financial institutions in Stark County we are excited to be launching the most coordinated, united, and aggressive push for Economic Development in Stark County ever!
We are assisted on a daily basis by the four banks located within Stark County. Those banks are the Bradford Banking Center of the Peoples National Bank of Kewanee, State Bank of Speer, State Bank of Toulon and Wyoming Bank and Trust.
